The 2006-07 college basketball season saw the Florida Gators, 35-5, repeat as the NCAA’s Mens Division 1 Basketball Champions. Ohio State, 35-4, UCLA, 30-6, and Georgetown, 30-7, made for an exciting Final Four. In the ACC North Carolina, 31-7, was the dominate team. Twenty win teams included Virginia 21-11, Virginia Tech, 22-12, Boston College, 21-12, Maryland, 25-9, Georgia Tech, 20-12, Duke, 22-11 Clemson, 25-11, Florida State, 22-13, and NC State, 20-16. The Big East’s Pittsburgh and West Virginia each posted +25 win seasons, Louisville, Notre Dame, Syracuse, and Marquette each had 24 wins. Big Ten Wisconsin, 30-7, played tough all year, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan and Michigan State had a +20 win season. Kansas, 33-5, led the Big 12. Texas A&M and Texas won 27 and 25 respectively. Kansas State, Missouri, and Oklahoma State each topped 20 wins. In the SEC Tennessee, 24-11, Vanderbilt, 22-12, Kentucky, 22-12, Mississippi, 22-13, and Mississippi, 22-14, and Alabama, 20-12, all competed for the second place behind National Champion Florida. In the PAC 10 Washington State, 26-8, and Conference Champion Oregon, 29-8, chased UCLA all season. USC’s Trojans, went 25-12.
